Bullying in makeup
Hi everyone!
Bullying is not a new issue, but these days with the rise of social networks it becomes increasingly evident and the makeup area doesn’t escape from it. While everyone is entitled to give their opinion, behind the keyboard some people become judges and vent their anger against the victim of the moment, sometimes just to annoy and sometimes because they think genuinely that destroying others can increase their worth.
No matter the reasons, the fact is that today we all face the ill-intentioned criticism and we must learn how to deal with it ... or to fight it.

Hygiene related to makeup tools
Hi everyone,
welcome to my blog!
Hygiene should
be a primary issue for makeup artists, as we work on a living canvas we must be
careful in the management of our tools. Some time ago I wrote a post on how to
clean makeup brushes but -either for personal or professional use- is a must to
know how to keep your products germ-free, so keep reading and hopefully learn a
little bit more about the hygiene related to makeup tools.

Cleaning brushes
A dirty brush
involves the presence of germs that can harm the health of your skin, so it’s
recommended to do a deep clean at least every 15 days (or weekly depending on
usage)... If you want to know some tricks to keep the brushes clean read the
post "How to clean makeup brushes"
For the hygiene
of the brushes you should consider if they are for personal or professional
use, but in both cases it’s important to take into account:
- Do a deep clean every week or 15 days.
- Keep them stored in a dry and dust-free place.
- Sanitize brushes between customers with a fast drying product.
- Avoid using brushes that have product buildup.

Does a makeup artist need a niche market?
Something I
heard recently when looking for tips for makeup artists is that necessarily you
must define a niche market, moreover, they advised to be as specific as
possible and focus only on that segment of the population… but does a makeup
artist really need a niche market?

Why do you use makeup? Who do you want to
impress? These are questions which we are subjected by friends, family and even

destructive criticism that reveal an underlying problem beyond if you like
makeup or not.
