Face Gymnastics

We all know exercise is essential for our health, in order to maintain body tone and feel better, among other benefits... but did you know there are exercises designed for the face? These exercises improve the tone of the face's muscles, helping to keep a smooth skin and reducing the effects of gravity and the passing of time.

Face Gymnastics

These exercises are designed for each part of the face. The goal is to make this routine at least 3 times a week (mea culpa, I do it only once a week, but I promise to improve) and only takes 10-15 minutes.

To begin I wash my hands and make a gently massage during 2 minutes, this helps to increase blood flood and prepare the muscles for activity; you have to make soft circles using your ring and little fingers beginning in the jaw and ending in the forehead.

You must repeat each exercise 10 times, maintaining each position during 5-10 seconds.

Lips:

  • Without separating the lips, make a big smile trying to bring up the corners.
  • Bring your lips forward as if you want to kiss.
  • With the previous position, try to touch your nose with the upper lip and then the chin with the lower lip (this is funny).
  • Open your mouth as wide as you can and relax.

Eyes:

  • Place your thumbs in the outer edge of each eye and press lightly to the temple while closing your eyes tightly.
  • Place your index finger on the brow, pushing up at the same time you close your eyes.
  • Raise your eyebrows and try to close your eyes halfway, hold the position and then open your eyes as much as possible.
  • Begin staring straight ahead, then move your eyes slowly up-down-left-right without moving your head. If you get dizzy you can rest between reps... this exercise also helps rest your eyes, especially if you work in front of a computer.

Neck:

  • Put your hand in the jowl, take your head back until you feel that is stretched and in that position lead the chin forward.
  • Continue the previous exercise by placing your hand on the lower part of the neck and pulling the skin down.
  • With your head back, place your lower lip over the top lip and feel the stretch in the neck skin.
  • Maintaining the previous position, stick out your tongue as if you wanted to touch your chin with it; you should feel relaxation in the front of the neck.

If you feel any type of discomfort in the neck or you get dizzy while doing any of these exercises, hold each position for less time and rest between repetitions; You can also do it in bed, placing a cloth wrapped under the neck to take it back.

Forehead:

  • Place your fingers above the eyebrows and press slightly inward and down, while ups and downs your eyebrows.

As with any kind of exercise you must be consistent and give it some time to see results, which on the face are subtle but lasting... If you dare to make the facial exercises tell me how it went and what changes you feel in your face.

Thanks for coming, you are welcome to like and share with your friends.

Until the next post!
