Hi everyone,
welcome to my blog!
Hygiene should
be a primary issue for makeup artists, as we work on a living canvas we must be
careful in the management of our tools. Some time ago I wrote a post on how to
clean makeup brushes but -either for personal or professional use- is a must to
know how to keep your products germ-free, so keep reading and hopefully learn a
little bit more about the hygiene related to makeup tools.
Cleaning
brushes
A dirty brush
involves the presence of germs that can harm the health of your skin, so it’s
recommended to do a deep clean at least every 15 days (or weekly depending on
usage)... If you want to know some tricks to keep the brushes clean read the
post "How to clean makeup brushes"
For the hygiene
of the brushes you should consider if they are for personal or professional
use, but in both cases it’s important to take into account:
- Do a deep clean
every week or 15 days.
- Keep them
stored in a dry and dust-free place.
- Sanitize
brushes between customers with a fast drying product.
- Avoid using
brushes that have product buildup.
