Hello! I love honey, mainly for sweetening tea J But honey is already an element
that has been used since ancient times both in the kitchen and to maintain
health and beauty, as it contains various antibacterial and regenerative
properties; and that’s why it’s the main ingredient in many homemade recipes to
improve skin appearance.
Today I’m going to share with you
some homemade recipes with honey I've been testing. As well as being an excellent lip moisturizing mask it also has other uses in cosmetics.
Homemade recipes with honey
It is important before you try any
of these recipes to make an allergy test (I advice you to do it with every
product you are going to use). Just put a little honey on the inside of the
wrist or elbow and wait 24 hours (yes, feeling the goop all day), if there are
no redness or itching you can use honey without any problem.
Facial scrub:
Make a mixture with ½ tablespoon of
lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of honey and 2 teaspoons of brown sugar; put it in your
face and make a gently massage for 1 minute then rinse with warm water. It
feels weird but leaves the skin soft.
Moisturizing mask:
Mix 2 tablespoons of honey and 2
tablespoons of milk, apply this mixture on the cleansed face and neck; leave it
for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water. After this, apply a tonic and use
your normal moisturizer.
Dry skin:
If you have dryness or calluses on
elbows, knees or feet: Mix 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of olive oil and ¼
teaspoon of lemon juice; massage the dry patches and leave the mixture for 10
minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Firming mask:
Make a paste with 1 teaspoon of
honey, 1 egg white, 1 teaspoon of glycerin and a little cornstarch (to give
consistency); place it on the face and neck leaving it on for 20 minutes; rinse
with warm water.
Remember that any natural treatment
requires perseverance, apply the recipes you like once a week and then tell me
how it went.
Thanks for coming, you are welcome
to like and share with your friends J
Until the next post!
